This is an introductory call for individual sessions to understand your goals, your current proficiency, and how you learn best. We’ll look at where you are with Gurmukhi and map out a clear, realistic plan together.

A focused individual session where we build from the basics, work through any sticking points, and move at a steady pace that fits you.

Class will cover the Gurmukhī writing system starting with each letter, vowel and diacritic. One of the core practices that will be built up is Muhārnī, which is a recitation practice of the elementary syllables. Participants will then practice putting words together and pronouncing common words accurately.

Class will explore each Pauṛī one by one, with time for careful recitation to experience and connect to the Gurū's Words. Then an in-depth explanation of the meanings of each line, with discussion of core concepts.

This cohort starts on June 12 and goes for 13 sessions. Please contact [email protected] if you want to join the cohort late.

Classes will start with a short story connecting to the Gurū and Gurmukhī. We will go through the 35 letters and common vocabulary words from Gurbāṇī for each letter. The class is designed for ages 11–17

This cohort starts on June 16 and goes for 8 sessions. Please contact [email protected] if you want to join the cohort late.

Groups will discuss a selected reading from Gurbāṇī. The session will be aided by multiple translations and research tools. This is more participatory than other classes. Participants are welcome to suggest Shabd excerpts for future sessions.
