# Decline booking seats

> Decline selected seats on a booking whose event type requires confirmation and has seats. The authorization header refers to a host who can update the booking.

`declinedSeatUids` lists seats that were waiting or confirmed and are now declined. Seats that were already declined stay declined and are omitted. A confirmed seat can be declined.

`POST /v2/bookings/:bookingUid/decline` refuses these bookings. Pass each seat's `seatUid` here instead.

Available with `cal-api-version` `2024-08-13`, `2026-02-25`, and `2026-05-01`.

If accessed using an OAuth access token, the `BOOKING_WRITE` scope is required.
