b) What is Zoom?

It is a video conferencing tool and is usually pretty straight-forward.

c) What if I’d rather do a teleconference?

If you’d prefer to do a teleconference (rather than a video conference), you can just use the fallback telephone number (Section F), and call from any landline or mobile phone. You will still be connected via Zoom (so that, as long as you agree, I can record our chat).

d) Steps for a stress-free video conference

Having done many of these, there are some simple steps I’d like to ask you to take. These will increase the likelihood of technology NOT getting in the way of us chatting about you and your work.

Find somewhere quiet for the call itself.
Ensure your face is well lit (don’t sit with a bright light behind you).
Zoom will only work if you are in a place with stable WiFi or you are using a phone line to dial in.

If for whatever reason the call doesn’t work on the day, you will see there is a UK telephone number (section F) you can use to join the call. This is the fallback telephone number below!

These simple steps ensure that in 99% of cases Zoom works super well. If it doesn’t, that's ok. My mobile number is +44 (0)7974 146181 and we can always speak on that.
