Leslie Reta

I'm Leslie Reta, an author, trainer, coach, and advocate for child abuse and neglect prevention. For nearly 20 years, I've worked with children and families, from investigating abuse and neglect to supporting families and training the professionals who work with them.

But I've also lived through some shit that no amount of professional training could have prepared me for. I know what it's like to love someone struggling with addiction, raise a child in the middle of that chaos, and try to figure out what comes afterward. Those experiences eventually led me to write Always, Forever and The Space Between Safety and Survival.

My approach to training and coaching is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and centered around meeting people where they are. I believe in listening without judgment, asking questions that encourage reflection, and helping people recognize strengths they may not even realize they have. I'm not here to tell anyone how to live their life. I'm here to help them explore their options and figure out what makes sense for them.

I'm straightforward, I occasionally swear, and I'm not particularly good at sugarcoating things.

Whether you're navigating relationships, boundaries, major life changes, or simply trying to figure out what the hell you want for yourself, you don't have to show up with everything figured out.
