If you want to take a personalized 1-on-1 art class, this session is for you! I hope to lend a hand on the sometimes scary but beautiful journey of finding your true artistic voice—and to empower you with skills & tools in order to get there.

In our session, you can learn:

• Specific techniques & skills for different mediums (watercolor, gouache, pen and ink, mixed media)
• Creativity exercises to help you loosen up, find freedom in your sketchbook, build more confidence in your capacities, & expand your comfort zones.
• Composition & design principles that will allow you to create more striking, powerful art pieces.
• Style explorations in order to hone in on what direction you want to go, to diversify or expand your style skillset, or to do specific style deep-dives & hone in on deeper subtlety and strengthening of your visual language.
• Sketchbook practices and habits to incorporate into your artistic life
• Work on one art piece in particular if you prefer that and want to really explore that specific subject in greater breadth and detail, with help for technical or creative guidance on that piece.

In this 60-minute session, we’ll explore:

• Preparing and troubleshooting your workflow: There’s a lot to think about when setting up an animation in Procreate Dreams, or even how to work between Procreate and this new software. I can provide guidance on the best ways to approach this and set yourself up with a workflow that works for you.
• Establishing and exploring your animation style: Here’s where we can brainstorm and talk specifics in terms of what you want to focus on, identify and grow your unique drawing style, and how to bring that into your animation.

This session is perfect for:

• Folks just getting started with Procreate Dreams who’d like some personalized guidance on how to expand their style into the animation realm
• Creatives with a bit more experience and wanting to brainstorm new ideas & get technical guidance.

What I’m most interested in is helping you figure out how to use animation as a means of growing your own body of work, whether you’re a hobbyist, aspiring professional or professional. Animation can be a powerful (and fun!) tool to add to your toolkit, especially when you have a good workflow in place, and a system for generating ideas that feels true to you and to the kind of art you want to make.

In this session, we’ll talk about the art struggles you're having & brainstorm directions you might want to explore in terms of mindset, workflow, style, or skill development. Together we’ll take steps to unleash your creativity, get around any creative stuckness you might have when it comes to honing your craft or developing your artistic career. Each session is adapted to where you're at and where you want to go.

In our one hour session:

• I’ll help you figure out where you’re ‘stuck’ in your art practice, by asking you questions, inviting reflection, and providing guidance on how to tackle your specific struggles
• You’ll come away with concrete, practical steps to take, whether that’s for building a more consistent drawing practice, how to orient yourself to finding your style, what mindset shifts could help you on your journey, or specific prompts & homework to creating a stronger, authentic portfolio that reflects the kind of art you want to create.
• If you’d like a portfolio feedback session, I can give you specific feedback on what strengths I see in your work as well as ideas for getting out of your comfort zone, expanding your skills, and orienting your portfolio in line with your current hobby or career goals.
