Changelog: Cal.com v6.5 - Salesforce improvements, Event type history, Insights/booking page speed improvements & more...
Hello, welcome to this month’s feature update! This month, we’ve focused on a few key areas to improve your experience:
Salesforce Improvements

Improved Routing trace
The routing trace now reflects the updated behavior end-to-end. It clearly shows how the candidate set is progressively narrowed at each step of the prioritization waterfall, along with the specific rule that determined the final selection.
This provides full transparency into the decision-making process, enabling support and operations teams to confidently answer “why this account?” without needing to investigate in Salesforce.
Smarter Salesforce matching: clearer, more reliable routing
We’ve improved how accounts are matched during routing—making it both more accurate and easier to understand.
Normalization (cleaning the data): We standardize domains before comparing them, so variations like
ACME.COM,acme.com, or full website URLs don’t cause missed matches.Fuzzy matching (when exact isn’t enough): If a booker uses a different regional domain (e.g.
acme.aevsacme.com), we intelligently expand the search to find the right account—while staying conservative to avoid noise.
Salesforce: configurable decision waterfall
We introduced a decision waterfall for Salesforce when round-robin routing resolves more than one eligible account for the same booker signal. Instead of an implicit "first match wins," cal.com now walks a defined sequence of tie-break rules until a single winner remains. Teams configure that sequence: which rules are enabled and in what order they run, so geo signals, account structure (e.g. child accounts, opportunities, contacts), and activity or age can be prioritized the way your org actually sells.
Event Type History: full visibility into every change

Stay on top of changes across your event types with the new History view. You can now see exactly what was updated, from titles and duration to locations, hosts, booking questions, and availability. Every edit includes the user who made it, a timestamp, and the precise before/after values. It's especially useful for organizations, where spotting unintended changes and answering "who changed this?" used to mean chasing people down for context.
This is available for our Organization customers.
Insights/booking page speed improvements

We've made significant performance improvements to Insights and the booking page this month, with response times now up to 95% faster in some cases. The headline itself undersells what actually changed though. We've reduced latency spikes and cut out slow queries that compounded under load, so the platform handles heavy booking volumes far more reliably. If you've experienced occasional timeouts or sluggishness during peak usage, you should notice a real difference.
New features
We’ve added global booking limits to control how many times you can be booked across all your personal and team event types.
We’ve added schedule-wide booking notice and buffer settings to define default notice periods and buffers for all your event types.
We’ve improved the Report Booking functionality to make it more visible and provide additional reporting reasons.
We’ve added the ability to filter for future dates in Insights to help analyze upcoming meetings.
We’ve made Microsoft 365 domain-wide delegation self-serve for easier setup by team admins.
We’ve added email notifications for team admins when their team members’ managed event types have no available slots.
