Anna Perrotta

Born in Finland in 1977, Anna Perrotta trained in Milan, but was constantly influenced by Northern European taste and culture. In addition to creating several reportages, she has worked in photography for fashion, theatre and music.
Her work is shaped by ongoing contact with professionals from various fields — from theatre, in which she worked for seven years, to painting, sculpture and literature. Through this, she developed a strong interest in blending ideas and techniques, and in the cross-contamination of photographic languages, both among themselves and with emerging technologies.

Today, her research moves between matter and imagination, body and landscape, using photography as a native language from which hybrid visions emerge, combining video, sound and visual experimentation.
Her intuitive, hands-on approach leads to contemplative, layered atmospheres, grounded in a tension between the organic and the digital.
