90-minute online workshop

The dead are real, + they long to collaborate with us on what disturbs our mind + troubles our heart—from the quotidian to the intractably perplexing.

In this workshop, we’ll use the images of the tarot to get in touch with the dead who can help us hold what is hard to hold alone, and who can untie knots in ways we can’t imagine.

Rooted in Perdita Finn’s Take Back the Magic work with the dead + my deep tarot study, you will learn a simple tarot ritual that helps you turn over what’s troubling you—as well as the things you most deeply long for but can’t imagine happening—to those human + non-human dead who delight in collaborating with our heart’s desires.

No tarot experience necessary. Bring something that’s troubling you or a deep longing, a tarot deck if you have one, and a journal. Sessions will be recorded for those who can’t attend live.

I will send you a personal email confirmation + information on how to make your payment after you register here.

Program fee: $39; free for Members

Saturday, October 24 at noon et/9am pt (time zone converter)

A 90-minute online workshop.

In a tarot reading, our question is what the oracle is responding to. Honed to a fine edge, it cuts a facet on the cards we pull + attracts meanings + associations to the arcana like iron filings to a magnet. If our question is muddy or dull, or hiding the heart of the matter, the oracle’s response is likely to feel unclear, confusing, unsatisfying or not helpful.

So, what makes a good question? Good question!

A good question is one that matters to us + that makes us feel something when we hear it. Asking good questions is a skill that we can develop + refine through practice. In this workshop, we’ll use the four elements as entry points into working with what’s alive for us in a way that helps us generate + form questions that get to the heart of the matter.

No tarot experience necessary. Bring your curiosity, a tarot deck if you have one, and a journal. Sessions will be recorded for those who can’t attend live.

WHAT PAST PARTICIPANTS ARE SAYING ABOUT ASKING GOOD QUESTIONS:

I loved:

• witnessing the thoughtfulness & caring exhibited by this wonderful group of likeminded people.
• the elemental question processes. Mind blowing ways to drop out of my head.

The most important thing I learned is:

• tools that can help us form and ask questions. Questions have questions before them that need to be answered first!
• the art of asking questions. And that usually the initial question can be further explored to get to an even deeper & more relevant question. Also using the elements to form your question.
• I learned so much listening to other people's pulls! I also am so grateful to have the tools of these 4 rituals now. They are so helpful.

I would recommend this class to anyone who wants to learn more about:

• how to ask better questions! In both tarot AND life. Maybe especially in life.
• anything. Truly. More about yourself. More about what you want. Your relationship in the / to the world
• anything! From tarot to self exploration to community care
• tarot, self awareness, listening

What surprised me most about this workshop:

• how an online class can be so intimate + supportive!
• how generous everyone was in sharing
• how many directions people went in + their own willingness to be vulnerable
• how the group immediately coalesced + became one giant tarot mystical organism
• the openness, uniqueness, the quality, the intelligence, the vulnerability, + the healing nature of all the conversations
