Fly Fishing Lesson (60 min)

Book a private fly fishing lesson with Jacob.


Lesson Information: Receive personalized, hands on instruction designed for beginners or those looking to improve their fly fishing skills. Your lesson may cover casting technique, equipment basics, knots, fly selection, and other fundamentals based on your experience level.


Jacob can provide a complete fly rod setup for use during the lesson, though you are encouraged to bring your own setup if you have one.


Lessons are available for adults and children. When the student is a minor, a parent or responsible adult must remain present throughout the entire lesson.


DISCLAIMER: Jacob exclusively teaches fly fishing and does not use live bait. Fly fishing uses artificial flies and the weight of the fly line to cast, rather than live bait or weighted conventional tackle.


After Booking: Jacob will personally contact you by text message, phone call, or both to confirm your appointment date and time. He will also coordinate the location for your outdoor fly fishing lesson and discuss any remaining details.

Lesson Information: Receive private, one on one instruction focused on the fundamentals of tying flies used for fly fishing. Your lesson may cover tools, materials, fly patterns, proper techniques, and other skills based on your experience level.


Jacob can provide materials for practicing during the lesson if you do not already have your own supplies. If you have your own vise, tools, or materials, you are encouraged to use them so you can become more comfortable with your personal setup.

After Booking: Fly tying lessons are provided in the comfort of your own home. Jacob will personally contact you by text message, phone call, or both to confirm your appointment date and time, obtain the address where you would like the lesson to take place, and coordinate any remaining details.
