30-Minute Session with Sylvia
30 min meeting with Sylvia Wang over Zoom Video. Curious about studying Computer Science, navigating the tech industry, or figuring out your next steps in life or career? I’m here to help. In this 30-minute session, you can ask me anything — whether you're a student considering a CS degree, a woman in tech looking for community and perspective, or someone seeking guidance on career paths, internships, or breaking into engineering roles. I completed both my undergrad and master's in Computer Science at University of Washington Seattle. I’ve since built experience in both academic and industry environments, from coding and systems design to mentorship and leadership in engineering spaces. We can chat about: What it’s really like to study CS (and how to survive and thrive) Navigating tech as a woman or underrepresented person Job hunting strategies, resume tips, and interview preparation Life and career goal-setting — short and long term How to find (and become) great mentors Impostor syndrome, burnout, and sustaining motivation Anything else you're unsure about — no question is too small Whether you're seeking practical advice or just someone who's been there to talk things through with, I’d love to support you on your journey!
