Hi!! I'm Tharunya. I just finished my MS at CSU and I'm starting as a Data Scientist at Advanced Energy. Before that: Nokia, ABInBev, a cybersecurity startup I co-founded, and leading a student community of 800+ people. I'm an international student who had to figure out systems not built for me, and that's the kind of thing I love helping with.


PS: I really put a lot of efforts in these interactions, so I expect you to meet me half way by answering all the questions thoughtfully :)

Bring one clear question, for example: "I've been applying to data roles for 3 months with no callbacks I wonder if it's my resume or my target?" ; "I'm a CS grad considering an MS but not sure if it's worth the time and money given my goals." ; "I want to move from SWE into product. Where do I actually start?"

Come with 2–3 specific questions. The more context you give me, the more useful I can be. Think less "I need career advice" and more:

  • "I am graduating in Fall 2027, I am currently actively applying for SWE internship in FAANG. I want a complete review of my resume and identify gaps."
  • "I'm on F1, graduating in May, applying to Data roles but getting no responses. I don't know if it's my resume, my visa status scaring recruiters, or both. I also don't know how to talk about OPT in interviews without it becoming a red flag."
