Appointment Confirmation:

Clinic Approval: Once you submit this request, I need to clear the date and time with the clinic. Once I get the official "ok" from them (can sometimes take a day or two), I will formally accept your appointment request and you'll receive a confirmation that the appointment was accepted and we're good to go. I recommend that you then add it to your calendar to be able to remember all the preliminary instructions.

Before You Book: Pre-Testing & Payment Agreement

Footwear: Please bring a clean pair of indoor running shoes. The clinic is strict about this, and you will be asked to remove your outdoor shoes at the front door.

Exercise: No exercise for 24 hours prior. For the best results, it’s ideal to have 1 or 2 rest days leading up to your session. A light walk or stretching is ok.

Food & Drink: No food, caffeine, or smoking 2 hours prior. No alcohol 6 hours prior.

Hydration: Bring water, but no electrolytes or drink mixes allowed during the test as it can affect your readings.

Equipment: We will use a chest strap heart rate monitor. If you have your own, please bring it. If not, don’t stress—I have one you can borrow.

Health & Safety:

I confirm that I am physically fit and able to perform high-intensity aerobic exercise.
I understand that a Consent Form and Exercise Clearance Self-Questionnaire will be required before we start.
I understand the test involves multiple finger pricks for blood sampling while I am on the treadmill.

Payment & Cancellations:

Cost: The test is $200 + GST ($210.00 total).
How to Pay: I will send you an invoice after your appointment (options for e-transfer or credit card). Payment is due the day your test is completed. If you prefer to pay ahead of time, you can e-transfer info@theintuitiverunner.ca
Refunds: If we have to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, or if we determine you don't meet the safety criteria to test, you will receive a full refund.
No-Shows: If you do not attend or if the test cannot be conducted because the preliminary instructions (like the 24-hour exercise rule) weren't followed, the fee is non-refundable.
