Who Needs the Meningitis B Vaccine?
The MenB vaccine is recommended for:

Infants and young children, especially under 1 year of age, who are at the highest risk of infection
Teenagers and young adults (ages 15–25), particularly those in close-living settings like university dormitories
Individuals with certain medical conditions that increase their risk (e.g., asplenia, complement deficiencies)
Laboratory workers exposed to Neisseria meningitidis
Travelers to areas where meningococcal disease is endemic or during outbreaks
Anyone during an outbreak or if advised by a healthcare provider

What is the Full Meningitis B Vaccination Schedule?
The schedule depends on age at the time of first dose:

Infants (from 2 months):
- 2 or 3 primary doses (depending on national guidelines)
- 1 booster dose usually at 12–23 months of age
Adolescents and adults:
- 2 doses, spaced at least 1 month apart

Is There an Accelerated Schedule for Travel?
