August (2024) was one of my worst months of the year.

I had a few clients pause. Some even left.

Lost close to $8,000 in revenue.

Painful.

But something interesting happened afterwards.

Back in August, I had multiple problems that were hidden from my "wins".

Because…

On the front-end, it looks like I was winning:

Multiple $15K months. Back-to-back program launches.

But in the back-end, my business was suffering. And I did not see it:

Clients were churning. Leads were leaking. Prospects were missing.

Eventually - the bubble burst. And it led to my worst month in August.

So I took a step back.

I was forced to look at my systems. At my offers. At my entire approach.

Because when things are working, it's easy to coast.

When they break, you're forced to innovate.

So I made three changes:

First, I completely rebuilt my client delivery.

Found out I was missing a few key steps that made clients churn after 1-2 months.

This led to the idea of moving my entire program to Skool.

(And changing my entire process for handling clients)

Second, I refined my ideal client profile.

Realized I was signing anyone who could pay, not the people who would get the best results.

This led to the idea of expanding onto YouTube and rebuilding my qualification process.

Third, I started going deep on data.

Because back then - I was only tracking the quite-very-obvious stuff:

How many followers I'm getting. How many leads I'm getting.

But I wasn't tracking the not-so-obvious stuff:

No show rates. Re-occurring objections. Prospect quality. Etc.

This led to me breaking down my entire business and only doubling down on one thing:

What Works.

Because 2024 was the year that I started business. So most of my "work" was experimentation.

In Q4, and in 2025, I changed that process.

My business now only operates on What Works - with a little bit of experimentation on the side for fun.

The result?

In November I had my biggest month at $17K cash collected.

If I didn't get that bad month - I'd still be using broken systems.

Still making clients leave.

Still attracting the wrong prospects.

Sometimes the dip is exactly what you need.

One of my clients was stuck at $3K/mo for 12 months before coming to me.

Then on 2 calls, we broke down what problems led to her bad months.

In just a couple of weeks we managed to break that barrier and scale to $5K/mo (and beyond).

Your worst month isn't a setback.

It's just a setup for a better month.
