Brainspotting uses eye movement to process and overcome negative emotions, trauma (including complex) and pain. It has been found to be effective for high performance anxiety, work/life struggles, grief and sleep challenges. I've been a Social Worker for over 20 years now and this is by far, my go-to modality in sessions!

A little bit more about me: I identify as Indo-Caribbean Canadian, whose parents immigrated from Guyana in the 1960s. I was raised Catholic and still practice today. I'm also a Shaman (someone who works with all of the Divine's spirits and energies) and use my intuition a LOT. If you've ever had a curiosity in energetic and esoteric practices, like Tarot, Clairvoyance, Psychic Divination, Human Design, let me know and I am pretty happy to weave all of my gifts, abilities, expertise and experience into your Session. I'm a single momma - and a proud one to whom I view to be a wonderful little girl who has truly been my greatest gift. I have processed a lot of complex trauma, grief, stress and more; while healing is often the destination, I view it as a journey and something we do every single day. My goal was not ever to change lives but to teach and empower others to change their own lives - so I'm really glad to be doing this work!

All sessions are confidential except for situations where I am legally required to report: for the prevention of imminent harm, for court order/mandated reporting laws and in those situations, I always aim to disclose only the minimum necessary for those situations. I do discuss cases in my Clinical Supervision (an expectation in my industry), but I do no reveal identifying information and the goal with the discussions is to improve my skills, ensure my mental well-being within my caseload and grow as a human being.

Upon booking, you will receive a video link for the Virtual Session. I use a Notetaker as an accountability measure and so that my focus remains on you and your session experience. After reviewing the notes, I set intentions for how I want to improve my practice and serve clients and then I delete them permanently since they are not my case notes.
