Cal.com Affiliate & Referral Program Terms

0. Definitions

For purposes of these Affiliate & Referral Program Terms (“Terms”):

  • “Affiliate” means any individual or entity approved by Cal.com to participate in the Program.

  • “Program” means the Cal.com Affiliate & Referral Program.

  • “Referral Link” means a unique tracking link issued by Cal.com to an Affiliate.

  • “New Eligible Customer” means a customer who has not previously held a Cal.com account or subscription, as determined solely by Cal.com.

  • “Paid Advertising” includes, without limitation, search engine advertising, social media advertising, display ads, native advertising, sponsored posts, influencer compensation, or any traffic acquired in exchange for monetary or non-monetary consideration.

  • “Private, Controlled Group” means a non-public group or channel where all members have affirmatively opted in to receive promotional content and which is not publicly searchable or accessible.

  • “Rewards” means referral credits, commissions, or other incentives offered under the Program, as determined by Cal.com.

1. Program Overview & Eligibility

Cal.com operates the Program to allow approved Affiliates to refer new customers using Referral Links in exchange for Rewards.
Participation is subject to Cal.com’s prior approval and ongoing eligibility. Cal.com reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to approve, deny, suspend, or revoke participation in the Program at any time and for any reason.
Participation in the Program does not create any partnership, joint venture, agency, employment, or fiduciary relationship between the Affiliate and Cal.com.

2. Permitted Sharing Channels

Affiliates may share Referral Links only in compliance with these Terms, applicable laws and regulations, and the policies of the relevant platform.
Permitted channels include:

  • Affiliate-owned or controlled websites and blogs

  • Long-form editorial or educational content (e.g., YouTube videos, podcasts)

  • Organic social media posts

  • Email communications sent solely to recipients who have explicitly opted in

  • Private communities and one-to-one communications, as permitted below

All promotion must be truthful, non-misleading, and reflect genuine experience or opinion.

3. Messaging Applications

Referral Links may be shared via private messaging applications only in:

  1. One-to-one communications, or

  2. Private, Controlled Groups where all participants have explicitly opted in to receive promotional content.

Use of bots, automation, scraping, broadcast lists, mass messaging, or unsolicited outreach is strictly prohibited.

4. Prohibited Distribution Channels

Referral Links may not be placed on or in connection with:

  • Coupon, deal, promo code, cashback, or incentive-based websites or platforms

  • Deal aggregators or automated referral directories

  • Browser extensions, toolbars, or similar software

5. Discount-Focused Content & SEO

Referral Links may not appear on pages, subdomains, or content whose primary purpose is:

  • Promoting discounts, coupons, or deals

  • Targeting discount-related searches (e.g., “coupon,” “promo code,” “discount,” “deal”)

  • Generating affiliate traffic without substantive original content

Cal.com may determine, in its sole discretion, whether content violates this section.

6. Paid Advertising (Strictly Prohibited)

Affiliates may not use Paid Advertising of any kind to promote Cal.com or Referral Links, including but not limited to:

  • Search engine ads (brand or non-brand)

  • Social media or display ads

  • Sponsored posts or paid placements

  • Influencer marketing or compensated endorsements

  • Paid traffic sources of any kind

Any violation of this section will result in immediate termination from the Program and forfeiture of unpaid Rewards.

7. Referral Link Integrity

Affiliates may use only official Referral Links provided by Cal.com.
Referral Links may not be:

  • Cloaked, masked, shortened, or redirected

  • Embedded in iframes

  • Altered in a manner that obscures attribution, tracking, or destination

  • Combined with any technology intended to manipulate tracking or attribution

8. Disclosure & Compliance

Affiliates must clearly and conspicuously disclose their affiliate relationship in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to FTC endorsement guidelines and applicable platform rules.
Affiliates may not make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about Cal.com, its products, pricing, features, or performance.

9. Rewards, Eligibility & Clawbacks

Rewards are payable solely for New Eligible Customers, as determined by Cal.com in its sole discretion.
Cal.com may withhold, adjust, reverse, or claw back Rewards at any time in the event of:

  • Refunds, chargebacks, or cancellations

  • Fraud, abuse, or policy violations

  • Invalid referrals or ineligible customers

  • Technical errors or tracking anomalies

Cal.com’s determination regarding Rewards is final.

10. Enforcement & Termination

Cal.com may, without prior notice:

  • Deactivate Referral Links

  • Withhold or forfeit unpaid Rewards

  • Suspend or terminate participation in the Program

Affiliates waive any right to notice, cure period, or appeal unless required by law.

11. Modification of Terms

Cal.com may modify these Terms at any time. Continued participation in the Program after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cal.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the Program, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

13. Indemnification

Affiliate agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cal.com from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Affiliate’s participation in the Program

  • Affiliate’s promotion of Cal.com

  • Affiliate’s violation of these Terms or applicable law

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

15. Entire Agreement & Severability

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between Affiliate and Cal.com regarding the Program and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
