Cal.com v5.2 - Salesforce enhancements, speed improvements, referral program, and more...

Hello, welcome to this month’s feature update! This month, we’ve focused on a few key areas to improve your experience: we’ve enhanced our Salesforce integration to make it smarter, more reliable, and easier to maintain; upgraded to Next.js 15 for faster performance and greater flexibility; and launched a new in-app referral program, making it easier for you to invite others to join Cal.com and earn rewards. Read on for more details on these updates!

Further Salesforce integration enhancements

A number of recent updates have focused on making our Salesforce integration more reliable, smarter, and easier to maintain. These improvements reduce friction for both developers and sales teams, while also increasing automation transparency. Here’s what’s new:

  • If creating a Contact fails, we now automatically create a Lead instead, so routing can continue without errors.

  • When a Contact isn’t found during booking, we now falls back to using a Lead to keep the process running.

  • When a booking is canceled, you can now automatically update custom fields on the Salesforce event.

  • We now support writing to picklist and checkbox fields, making it easier to map and sync data.

These updates reduce manual intervention and help sales teams trust that their workflows just work. Altogether, the integration is faster, smarter, and more resilient.

Upgraded to Next.js 15 for better speed and flexibility

We’ve upgraded the project to Next.js 15, which brings faster performance and new features. Pages now load more quickly, and server-side rendering is more efficient. The update also improves how we handle routing and caching, making the app more responsive. Developers benefit too — builds are faster, and debugging is easier. This upgrade gives us more flexibility to build better features and helps the app scale as we grow. It also prepares us to start using new Next.js tools like partial pre-rendering and React Server Components.

New in-app referral program

If you love using Cal.com, it’s now easier than ever to share it with others and benefit from it. With the new Dub Refer tool, you can generate your own referral link directly in the app and invite friends, clients, or teammates to join. It's simple, built-in, and helps you spread the word while earning rewards or recognition. Whether you're part of a team or just a fan, this feature makes it easy to support Cal.com and grow the community at the same time.
