Recurring event types are ideal when the booker needs to schedule a meeting that happens on a regular basis. With Cal.com, you can easily create an event type and select recurring scheduling as the scheduling type. You can then define the frequency and duration of the recurring meetings and customize the availability settings to fit your needs. This makes managing ongoing appointments seamless and efficient.
Suppose you are a manager and would like to offer weekly one-on-one meetings for your team members, with a maximum of 12 sessions per person. You can set up a recurring event to accommodate this by:
1

Configuring the duration, availability, and other necessary settings for these meeting in the basic settings of the event.

2

Go to the Recurring section of the event and toggle the recurring option

Cal Recurring Event Highlighted
3

Set the recurring values (eg, once a week for 12 weeks)

4

Click Save in the top right corner

By setting up the recurring event this way, your colleagues can easily subscribe and participate in the weekly one-on-one meetings with you, up to the maximum limit of 12 sessions.
The maximum number of occurrences per recurring event is 32. Use this when you need longer series such as a 32-week course or a monthly meeting that runs for multiple years.
Recurring events are still in Beta. We’re actively improving the experience based on real feedback from users like you, so if something feels off or you have ideas, reach out to support@cal.com. Your input directly shapes where this feature goes next.
