Cal.com v3.0

Since 2.0, we've made scheduling faster, easier, and more accessible, not just for individuals and teams, but, very soon, for large organizations with hundreds or thousands of employees as well.

The productivity of our engineering team, as evidenced by the speed of our releases, has been astounding. This rate of progress is only possible with the enormous contributions we receive from the open-source community, so we want to give a big thank you to everyone who contributed. And to you, the people who use our app and continue to support it, provide feedback, and help shape and build the best scheduling experience!

There’s been a considerable amount of features and improvements shipped every release, as you’ll know if you follow this newsletter, before we get into our usual format we wanted to showcase some of the highlights since 2.0:

  • Launched 27 new apps in our App Store

  • Pushed 3,335 commits

  • Achieved ISO 27001, SOC 2 and HIPAA certifications

  • We've made major performance improvements, reducing the booking calendar load time to just 214ms, and we've resolved a significant issue that caused long initial load times during cold starts.

  • Added booking forms providing complete control over your booking questions

  • Published the brand-new Cal.com documentation

  • Launched Managed Event Types allowing you to create and manage event types for all your team members.

  • Launched Booking Insights providing in-depth analysis across all your team’s bookings

  • Added branded themes and dark mode

Your public booking page now offers column and weekly views

You asked, and we delivered. Introducing column and weekly views for your public booking pages. Our team has worked tirelessly over the past few months to refine and enhance each view. We’ve also taken the time to polish the monthly view and added subtle animations across the board. Not sure what your bookers will prefer? Leave it up to them.

By default, we’re turning on all 3 options, and your booker can decide with a neat switcher in the top right corner. If you know your bookers will prefer the weekly view, you can just leave that one on or set it as the default one. You can customize it per event type or manage it across all of them in Settings → Appearance.

Coming soon: The best enterprise scheduling experience for organizations

More than a year after the launch of our team feature, we're thrilled to announce the introduction of organizations, an integral part of our upcoming enterprise offering. We have received feedback from hundreds of customers regarding where their needs still need to be met. We used those insights to build our new organization’s experience.

Organizations

  • Seamlessly create a centralized organization and unlimited sub-teams, laying the foundation for streamlined collaboration and expansion.

  • Manage all members from an admin dashboard, including availability, bio, avatar, connected apps, and more!

Whitelabelling

  • Manage the end-to-end scheduling experience of your organization with brand colors and logos.

  • Turn any corporate email into a scheduling link automatically. [email protected] → acme.cal.com/peer, acme.cal.com/marketing.

  • Have access to all usernames previously not available to your team, including premium usernames without having to pay anything extra.

The only third-party developer app store

  • We are proud to remain the only scheduling solution that offers a third-party developer app store. This means that if there’s an integration your team doesn’t see, your engineering team can create that integration for your organization on their own.

Organization Workflows and Routing Forms

  • Create and collaborate on workflows or routing forms at the organization level and apply it to different teams and individuals.

Directory Sync

  • Automatically sync employees with Directory Sync (Google Workspaces and ActiveDirectory). Easily onboard and offboard new team members.
