Cal.com v3.1 - Organizations & more...

Welcome to the 3.1 changelog! The main focus for the past month for us has been working on our organization's plan and also focusing heavily on a backlog of high-priority issues that had arisen over the past two milestones. As we enter the quietest part of the year for scheduling, we’ll be continuing to work behind the scenes on these issues and the performance of our app, as well as improving our organization's offering.

The best enterprise scheduling experience for organizations is here

Set up a Cal link for every person in your organization in minutes and take advantage of org-wide workflows, routing forms, white labelling, insights, directory sync, and advanced user management.

At its core, our new plan makes it easier to manage organizations that have multiple sub-teams and to manage all aspects of your teams and users across the board. Learn more about all of the features we’re shipping with our new organization plan here or book a demo with Shiraz below and he’ll show you how Cal.com can help you unlock efficient scalability and growth within your organization

Our Slack is closing down and we’re moving to Discord

We decided to move our community from Slack to Discord for several reasons. Ultimately, Discord is a better platform for us to build a community, it enables us to engage more and to host events better than ever before.

New features, improvements & fixes

  • We added a new workflow action to send Whatsapp messages to send Whatsapp to an “attendee” and a specific number by @jemiluv8 in #8818

  • You can now install apps for yourself or your team if you’re an admin. Personal and team apps will show on the installed apps page and in event types and are labelled to differentiate them by @joeauyeung in #9337.

  • You can now install apps for yourself or your team if you’re an admin. Personal and team apps will show on the installed apps page and in event types and are labelled to differentiate them.

  • We now send an email to organizers as well as attendees with a link to download Cal Video recordings from your meetings by @Udit-takkar in #9667

  • We updated our modals to have a “fixed footer” so that the main actions are always visible even if you have to scroll for content.

  • Feat: Add Google spam warning on the booking confirmation page for Gmail users ( CALCOM-9247) by @gitstart-calcom in #9531

  • We now show a preview of dark mode for the booker layout in settings when you toggle between light and dark mode @JeroenReumkens in #9664

  • We improved the recurring event booking page speed by up to 40% @JaideepGuntupalli in #9600

  • We fixed an issue where date overrides were not working if you changed the date of your override and it went before another date  - by @emrysal in #10116

  • Fixed an issue where we weren’t providing any feedback on buttons in the onboarding step so any slight delays were making the experience feel broken

  • We fixed an issue where we weren’t doing checks on passwords when you reset them meaning you could use 1 character. Shame on us but also shame on you if you took advantage of this @sean-brydon in #10042

  • We fixed an issue causing some Conferencing Apps not to appear for users on the individual plan by @hariombalhara in #9927

  • Out with the old and in with the new… booker. The old booker was gone for you anyway, but now the code is gone for us too. Satisfying @rene-mueller in #10053

  • We replaced Slack with Discord as mentioned above so we’ve updated all links in the app to reflect this @shawshankkumar in #9900

  • We followed up our last release with a lot of small fixes to our new public booking page including hiding the layout switcher when only 1 layout is enabled.

  • We fixed a URL-case-sensitive bug on usernames by @afrieirham in #9886

  • A small UI fix for a misalignment of our empty screens by @sean-brydon in #9908

  • We improved the performance of the event types single page (and we have plans to improve this hugely in 3.2)  by @G3root in #9792

  • We fixed a lot of skeleton issues in our app including issues in prominent spots like the sidebar. Peer reckons we’ve enough skeletons in the app to officially register as a graveyard, so I suspect we’re not fully done here.

  • We now allow editing guests when rescheduling or editing a booking by @jemiluv8 in #9878

  • We fixed an issue where the “Back to bookings” button on events was only showing for Organizers whereas it should also show for Attendees who are logged in.

  • We fixed an issue where slot reservations with multiple duration options were sometimes using the wrong event length by @CarinaWolli in #10103

  • We’ve hidden the invite member button for team members since it’s an admin-only action right now by @iamr-kumar in #9963

  • We fixed an issue where invites to teams weren’t working for non Cal.com users by @zomars in #10110

  • We fixed an issue where the cancel button was not working properly on the payment page by @s-kris in #10006

  • As usual, there were at least 200 more small improvements and fixes. You can view the release notes here.
